These recent works were completed just before and during the pandemic. The small, freestanding, colorful works might be considered fetishes for a happier day. The challenge of limiting materials to craft forms and faux textures resulted in an uninterrupted motivation and production. I loved it! Then, daily masked walks in green spaces compelled me once again to photograph nature, salvage tree debris and create a new series.
